The Neolithic settlement Rinyo is typical of the so-called " Rinyo Clacton - culture." It was in 1938 and 1946 Vere Gordon Childe excavated by, who found great similarities to Skara Brae. The finds consisted of zerscherbter ceramics, including Beaker goods as well as about 250 flint tools, including Carved Stone Balls, mace heads, mortar and stone axes. The beaker sherd of Rinyo is placed in the north late British Clarke Group.
