Risto Isomäki
Risto Isomäki ( born June 8, 1961 in Turku ) is a Finnish writer, science editor and environmental activist.
His first novel translated into German Sarasvatin hiekkaa ( the melt ) is a Ökothriller, which was nominated in 2005 for the Finlandia Prize and in 2006 the Tähtivaeltaja Prize, a Finnish science fiction prize won. The novel was published in April 2008 in the publishing house 's Bastion - Luebbe. 2012 appeared another Ökothriller under the title Jumalan Pikkusormi (God's Little Finger ), in which it comes to the construction of a massive solar chimney power plant in Egypt - and to the militant resistance of the oil lobby against this project.
