The river rises near Enborne Inkpen and West Woodhay and flows in large meanders through the English county of Hampshire towards Newbury in Berkshire. Headley Near the river is fed by a creek that comes from the Ecchinswell and the hill country Watership Down. He eventually empties into the Kennet, which in turn is a tributary of the Thames.
