South East England
South East England ( German South East England ) is one of the nine regions of England. The seat of the administrative authorities is in Guildford.
This region includes the counties of
- Berkshire
- Buckinghamshire
- East Sussex
- Hampshire
- Isle of Wight
- Kent
- Oxfordshire
- Surrey
- West Sussex
In addition, include the following unitary authorities ( independent city of circles) to this region:
- Brighton and Hove (formerly belonging to East Sussex )
- Medway (formerly belonging to Kent )
- Milton Keynes (formerly belonging to Buckinghamshire )
- Portsmouth (formerly belonging to Hampshire)
- Southampton (formerly belonging to Hampshire)
Expressed in comparison with the EU GDP in purchasing power standards, the South East England region reached an index of 127.0 (EU -25: 100 ) (2003 ).
