East Sussex
East Sussex [ ˌ i ː stsʌsɪks ] is a county in southeast England. It borders Kent, Surrey, West Sussex and the south by the English Channel. The administrative seat of the county is located in Lewes.
The county of Sussex was divided since 1888 into two administrative regions, with their own capitals. Nevertheless, Sussex remained until 1974 an independent county. Then it was divided into the new counties of East Sussex and West Sussex. In 1997 Brighton and Hove into an independent urban district ( Unitary Authority).
