Cheshire East
Cheshire East is a unitary authority with the status of a borough in the county of Cheshire in England. Council is based in Sandbach.
Cheshire East was formed on 1 April 2009 by the merger of three districts Congleton, Crewe and Nantwich and Macclesfield. At the same time the County Council ( County Council ) of Cheshire was abolished and its powers as they relate to the area of Cheshire East, on the advice of Cheshire East (Cheshire East Council ) transmitted. Since then, Cheshire is divided into the four unitary authorities of Cheshire East, Cheshire West and Chester, Warrington and Halton.
