Macclesfield is an English city, about 26 kilometers south of Manchester, located in the county of Cheshire.
Macclesfield has 50 688 inhabitants and is one of the 30 richest British cities.
The local football club Macclesfield Town rose from the fifth English professional league National Conference on up to the third professional league Football League One. But was followed by a subsequent descent into the fifth English professional league. The club is located on the London Road since 1891 in the stadium " Moss Rose".
