Work

Shrigley's work includes sculptures, paintings, animation, text and photographs, but the best known are probably his drawn cartoons that are published both in books and in the form of postcards. Especially for his drawings selects Shrigley often a style that is characterized by its limited technology and reminiscent of representatives of Art Brut. Thus, his works seem by their simple forms, repeated misspellings and deletions often unfinished or not professionally prepared. However, this is seen more as a means than as consciously chosen style bungling and emphasizes the comic effect, achieve the Shrigley's work, with its black-humored portrayal of bizarre and absurd situations and characters often.
