River Helmsdale

The Helmsdale is a river in the Scottish Highland unitary authority in traditional Scottish county of Sutherland. It is the outflow of Loch Badanloch. From there, it flows 34 km in a southeasterly direction and then flows through Loch Achnamoine. Finally, the Helmsdale Helmsdale opens into the Moray Firth. From Helmsdale on the A897 follow the left side as well as the tracks of the Far North Line on the right side about 24 km the course of Helmsdale upstream.
