River Teviot

The River Teviot, Teviot also Water ( pronunciation / ti ː vi.ət / scottish / ti ː vijɪʔ /) is a river in the Scottish Borders region of Scotland. He belongs to the river system of the River Tweed.

The River Teviot has its source in the Western Comb Hills on the border with Dumfries and Galloway, from there it flows to the northwest by the Teviotdale, by Hawick Roxburgh and before flowing south-east of Kelso in the River Tweed.

Borders Abbeys Way long distance trail runs along the River Teviot to the Tweed.

Its tributaries include Allan Water, Borthwick Water, Slitrig Water, Ale Water, Jed Water and Kale Water, the latter two with a length of 32 km.
