The Wey is a short river in the county of Dorset in South West England. The river rises in the South Downs, a ridge of chalk hills that separate Weymouth from Dorchester. The largest part of the river course is located in the catchment area of Weymouth. The Wey runs through the former villages and now suburban Upwey, Broadwey and Radipole, through Radipole Lake Lake in the port of Weymouth.
The river is important for wildlife, and the Radipole Lake is a nature reserve, which is managed by the Royal Society for the protection of birds.
