Riwaq (arcade)

Riwaq (Arabic رواق Riwāq ) is a term used in Islamic architecture. It denotes arcades or porticoes, which are open at least one side.

In a courtyard mosque surrounded one or more rows Riwaqs the open courtyard ( Sahn ).
