A Road Book is a path information for tours in the form of a table.

Normally Road Books at classic car, bike and motorbike tours are used for this purpose usually the bicycle bag or put into the tank bag. Road books have the advantage of faster pathfinding and opposite a GPS device the better purchase compared to the road map.
