Rob Malda

Rob Malda ( born May 10, 1976), also known as CmdrTaco, is the founder of the website Slashdot.

He graduated from Hope College. His pseudonym comes from the book by Dave Barry ( Claw Your Way to the Top: How to Become the Head of a Major Corporation in Roughly a Week, ISBN 0-87857-652-5 ). Commander Taco is the last entry in a list of bad restaurants for business lunches.

Malda writes a monthly column for Computer Computer Power User. Maldas description of the then new iPods from Apple is still used today to illustrate the techno - elite of Slashdot with regular computer users. He wrote at the time on the iPod: " No wireless.
