Rob Stewart (actor)

Rob Stewart ( born July 23, 1961 in Toronto, Ontario ) is a Canadian television actor. He was primarily known for his roles in the television series Tropical Heat and Painkiller Jane.

Biography

At 17, Rob Stewart had suffered a serious injury playing hockey, which destroyed his other sports career. He then hired himself out as a guitar player and singer and studied Latin and English at the University of Waterloo. After a couple of mini-jobs he had in a 1988 remake of the series Alfred Hitchcock Presents his debut as an actor. From 1991 to 1993 he portrayed Nick Slaughter in the series Tropical Heat. He also directed some episodes. Then he starred in a few TV series and films. Other leading roles he played in the series Amazonas - Prisoners of the Jungle (1999-2000) and Painkiller Jane (2007).
