Tropical Heat is a Canadian- Mexican crime series, which was produced by Global Accent Four, IO International and SafriTel.

Action

Nick Slaughter, a former police officer in the narcotics investigation, can be attributed to Key Mariah, Florida down to work as a private investigator. The main reason to settle there, however, is there to enjoy the sun and relax. It provides Sylvie Girard as a secretary, who is actually a tourist guide and wanted to open a travel agency. It is then that constantly drives him to work and bring in dangerous situations. Nick's friend and an important informant is Ian Stewart, who runs a diving school and the Tropical Heat Bar. He has contacts with the local police by the coroner Rollie and Lt. Carillo. After Ian and Lt. Carillo Florida have left, there are Spider and Sgt Gregory, the resolve with Nick and Sylvie cases.

Succession works

About three years after the end of production of the series of 90-minute feature film murder under the hot sun (OT: Criss Cross) was filmed. In this "Reunion" are Rob Stewart ( Nick Slaughter ), Carolyn Dunn ( Sylvie ) and Ari Sorko - Ram ( Sgt Gregory ) to see.

Soundtrack

In Germany, the soundtrack was released by Edel Music in 1992 for the series. It includes, inter alia, in addition to the title song Anyway The Wind Blows by Fred Mollin more tracks from the series as well as other customized the theme songs, such as Kingston Town by UB40 or Do You Really Want To Hurt Me by Culture Club.

Worth mentioning

The first season of Tropical Heat was filmed in Puerto Vallarta, Mexico, the second season in Eilat in Israel. Locations of the third season were Pretoria in South Africa and Mauritius.

Broadcast notes

The first 44 episodes were spring until March 1993 Friday erstausgestrahlt at 20:15 clock at RTLplus 1992. A further 18 new episodes followed in 1994. Finally, yet another in 1995 and three more in 1996 erstausgestrahlt, so that the series in Germany was completely seen at RTL. Repetitions were performed at RTL itself (1993-1996), VOX (1997-2000), ProSieben (1998), one Cable (2008) and several times at various pay- TV channels ( since 2000). The broadcasting of the movie murder under the hot sun was at Sat.1 in 2001.
