Robert Alfred Theobald

Robert Alfred " fuzzy " Theobald ( born January 25, 1884 in San Francisco, California, † May 13, 1957 ) was a Rear Admiral (German: Rear Admiral ) of the United States Navy, who published a widely acclaimed book in 1947.

Life

He was the son of George Theobald and Hattie Caroline Yoell. Theobald graduated from the United States Naval Academy ( Naval Academy ), which he completed in 1907. In 1939 he was appointed chief of staff Claude C. Bloch and shortly after the Japanese attack on Pearl Harbor in December 1941 to the Commander of the Pacific Fleet destroyer.
