Robert Budreau

Robert Budreau ( born January 25, 1974 in London, Ontario ) is a Canadian producer, director and screenwriter.

Life and achievements

His mother's name is Claire Budreau. He grew up in the town of Ingersoll and graduated from McMaster University. At the University of British Columbia, he was trained as a lawyer, he also studied film at the Vancouver Film School. Until 2004 he worked as a lawyer at Goodmans LLP in Toronto.

His career as a producer, director and screenwriter, he began with short films in his film production company Lumanity Productions Inc. His first feature film was the romantic drama Mystery That Beautiful Somewhere with Roy Dupuis and Jane McGregor.

2005 won Budreau at Sudbury Cinefest for Dry Whiskey for Best Canadian Short Film. In 2007 he received Somewhere awards at the California Independent Film Festival, the Garden State Film Festival and the Park City Film Music Festival for That Beautiful.
