Robert Dowland

Robert Dowland (* 1591 in England, † 1641) was an English composer and lutenist of the Renaissance. He was the son of the famous English lutenist John Dowland.

He has published two collections of lute music and Ayres, "A Varietie of Lute Lessons" and "A Musicall Banquet" (1610 ). In 1626 he succeeded his father to the post of royal lutenist.
