Robert James Miller

Robert James Miller ( born October 14, 1983 in Harrisburg, Pennsylvania, USA, † January 25, 2008 in Kunar, Afghanistan) was a staff sergeant in the United States Army, the mortally wounded when used in the Afghanistan War and posthumously with the Medal of Honor, the highest gallantry award of the U.S. Armed forces, was excellent.

Robert James Miller was born in Harrisburg, Pennsylvania, but grew up in Wheaton on in the state of Illinois. There he attended the Wheaton North High School and makes 2002 its conclusion. After a year of college, Miller came in 2003 in the U.S. Army a. After basic training, Miller attended the Special Forces Qualification Course. From August 2006 to March 2007 was stationed Miller for the first time in Afghanistan. His second tour of duty in Afghanistan began in October 2007. Miller fell in a battle with the Taliban near the border with Pakistan on 25 January 2008. Due to his bravery that day Miller was posthumously awarded the Medal of Honor.
