Robert O. Ragland

Robert Oliver Ragland ( born July 3, 1931 in Chicago, Illinois, † April 18, 2012 in Los Angeles, California ) was an American film composer.

Life

After studying music at Northwestern University and in Vienna as well as master classes with Igor Stravinsky and Nadia Boulanger Ragland began his musical career as arranger, among others, for the Dorsey Brothers Orchestra. In 1968 his work as a film composer. He has dubbed over 100 feature films, including several film scores for productions starring Charles Bronson. In addition, Ragland has also created music for the ceremonies of the Academy Awards and the Emmys.
