Roberto Alagna

Roberto Alagna ( born June 7, 1963 in Clichy- sous -Bois, France ) is a French opera singer (tenor ), of Italian origin.

The son of Italian parents, grew up in Paris, where he studied voice. In 1988 he won the First Prize of the International Pavarotti Competition in Philadelphia. The lyric tenor made ​​his operatic debut as Alfredo in Verdi's La Traviata with the Glyndebourne Touring Opera. The role he sang at many famous opera houses, finally in 1990 at La Scala.
