Robin Osborne

Robin Grimsey Osborne (born 11 March 1957) is an English historian who specializes in classical Greece.

He is the author of several standard works on ancient Greece, such as Greece in the Making 1200-479 BC and Archaic and Classical Greek Art Osborne is a Fellow of King's College and Professor of Ancient History at the University of Cambridge. With his college and faculty colleagues Simon Goldhill he has published three anthologies to interdisciplinary Classical Studies topics. He is also co-editor of several prestigious journals, including the Journal of Hellenic Studies and the American Journal of Archaeology.
