Robin Sowden-Taylor

Robin Sowden -Taylor ( born June 9, 1982 in Cardiff ) is a Welsh rugby union player who is used to the position of winger. He plays for the Newport Gwent Dragons and is a member of the Welsh national team.

Career

Sowden -Taylor began his professional career in 2001 at Cardiff RFC and was taken with the establishment of regional teams in the ranks of the Cardiff Blues in 2003. In the season 2005/ 06 he was appointed captain of the team, as the actual team captains Rhys Williams had injured. In the same season he made his debut for the national team against Italy in the Six Nations, in which Wales reached the Grand Slam. The following season was marked by a momentous ankle injury, which he was only seven appearances for his team.

Sowden -Taylor took part in the Commonwealth Games in 7- Rugby in 2006. In the 2007 /08 season he was injured again hard, this time on the shoulder, and fell for a few months. He returned in November 2008 and was used in the test match against Canada. With the Blues in 2009 he succeeded in winning the EDF Energy Cup. In 2010 he moved to the Newport Gwent Dragons.
