Robot: Super Color Comic
Robot is a series of art books and manga anthologies, which includes the drawings of various mostly Japanese artists. The series was created by Range Murata, to be published as a trailblazer for emerging artists, their work. The first volume was issued on 21 October 2004, the tenth and final volume was published on February 7, 2008.
In English in the U.S., volumes 1-3 published by Digital Manga Publishing, dated 16 August 2005 to 31 December 2006 and Volume 4 at Udon Entertainment in December 2007. In France, the first volume published in 2006 by Kami. The series was then continued by Glénat the March 2008 the second volume published in February 2009 once the first volume and then by January 2012 all the remaining volumes.
The manga critic Jason Thompson described in Addendum 365 Days of Manga for Manga: The Complete Guide to the first volume as "original dōjinshi with fabulous production values [ ... ] showcas [ing ] the diversity of Japanese artists" ( German: " original dōjinshi with fabulous production values that shows the bandwidth Japanese artist ").
