Roche Braziliano

Roche Braziliano (* around 1630 in Groningen, † 1671 ) was a Dutch pirate who was one of the Bukaniern.

Roche Braziliano was born about 1630 in Groningen and made from 1654 to 1671 the seas unsafe. His real name could no longer be detected, but he is known to this day by his nickname Roche Braziliano.

Roche was a notorious buccaneer, who was known for his extreme brutality and drunkenness. His most notorious deeds are the living crickets two Spaniards, because they did not want him left their pigs, and that he had to shoot anyone who did not want to drink with him. Before he went to Port Royal hijack in 1654, he was a privateer in Bahia. After hijacking the Spaniards captured him and brought him to Spain. He escaped from captivity, bought the buccaneer Francois l' Ollonais a new ship from and continued his Kaperungen. Later he sailed under the flag of Sir Henry Morgan.
