Rod Morgenstein

Rod Morgenstein ( born April 19, 1953 in New York) is an American drummer and music teacher. He was known primarily as a musician of the heavy metal band Winger and the jazz fusion band Dixie Dregs. He also played with Fiona, Platypus and Jelly Jam.

In addition, he also worked with Jordan Rudess. He is currently Emeritus Professor of Percussion at Berklee College in Boston.

Rod Morgenstein still goes with his band Winger in Europe and in the U.S. on tour. He plays his drums " left-handed " that is, mirrored in structure to a standard drum. From the music magazine Rolling Stone, he is on the list of the greatest drummers of all time at number 18.
