Rodolfo Rodríguez

Rodolfo Sergio Rodríguez (born 20 January 1956 in Montevideo ) is a retired Uruguayan football goalkeeper. With 78 official missions in the national team, he was from 1985 to 2011 record - selection player of his country. He was replaced by Diego Forlán.

At club level, Rodriguez played in his home country as well as in Brazil and Portugal Premiership football.

Club career

Rodolfo Rodríguez began his career at CA Cerro. In 1976 he moved to the top of Nacional Montevideo, where he remained under contract until 1983. With Nacional he won three Uruguayan league titles and the 1980 Copa Libertadores and the Intercontinental Cup. It was followed by four years at Brazilian club Santos. In 1988, Rodríguez to Europe for Portuguese club Sporting Lisbon, in which he played two seasons long. 1991/92 he made his career with the EC Bahia finish.

National
