Rodrigo García (director)

Rodrigo García Barcha ( born August 24, 1959 in Bogotá, Colombia ) is a Colombian -born television and film director.

Life and career

García was born on August 24, 1959 in Bogotá, Colombia, and is the son of the author Gabriel García Márquez and Mercedes Barcha Pardo.

García has directed several independent films and several episodes of the HBO series Six Feet Under - Died is always Carnivàle and Big Love. He currently lives in the United States.

He also worked as an assistant cameraman and cinematographer for films such as Gia - Price of Beauty, The Birdcage - A paradise for birds shrill and Great Expectations.

His film Nine Lives was nominated for the Golden Groundhog Award for "Best Underground Movie ".
