Rodrigo Possebon

Rodrigo Pereira Possebon ( born February 13, 1989 in Sapucaia do Sul ) is a Brazilian- Italian footballer, who currently stands at Mirassol FC under contract.

Possebon usually plays as a defensive central midfield. He started his career with the Brazilian club SC Internacional. In Internacional he was discovered by Manchester Scout John Calvert - Toulmin and guided to Manchester United.

In Manchester Possebon signed a contract in January 2008. He received the shirt number 34, previously Ryan Shawcross held that had migrated to Stoke City.

His professional debut for Manchester he celebrated on the opening day of the 2008/09 season when he came on in the 63rd minute for Ryan Giggs against Newcastle United; the game ended 1-1. However, the majority of the playing time he spent in the reserve team of the Red Devils, who acts in the Premier Reserve League. In July 2009, the Red Devils gave him until the end of the season on loan from the Portuguese first division side Sporting Braga. A use in the operation of the League Super League, where he never had, only a short stint in qualifying for the UEFA Europa League stood until the end of the loan period to book.

In August 2010 Possebon changed with immediate effect to the Brazilian first division club FC Santos, in which he received a four-year contract until 2014.

Although he is a native Brazilian, Possebon has because of ancestry on his father's Italian citizenship and is thus also for the Italian national teams eligible to play. He made his debut in the Italian U -20 team on 22 April 2009 in the match against Germany, which ended with a 0-5 defeat.
