Rodrigo Rivera Salazar

Rodrigo Rivera Salazar ( born April 20, 1963 in Pereira ) is a Colombian politician and diplomat. He is a member of the Liberal Party of Colombia.

From 1998 to 2002 Rivera sat in the Colombian Senate. He could party internally not prevail in the primaries for the presidential elections in Colombia 2006 compared Horacio Serpa. Under President Santos, he was appointed in August 2010 to the Defense Minister of his country, but after only 13 months, Rivera resigned from this post and was Colombia's Ambassador to the European Union.
