Rogawica

Rogawica ( German Roggatz ) is a place in Slupsk ( Stolp ) in the Polish Pomeranian Voivodeship.

Geographical location

Roggatz located in Pomerania, about 11 kilometers northeast of Stolp and 97 kilometers west of the regional capital Gdańsk.

History

Instead of the German place name Roggatz the place name Rogatsch was used for the rural community earlier. The rural community was a real estate village with the two estates Roggatz and Kuckow. She was old fief of the family v. Bandemer, which was already mentioned in documents in 1493. 1774 the estate was sold by the Roggatz Bandemers Lorenz Friedrich von Pirch, from which it took over in a comparison of 1781 Nicholas Christopher v. Somnitz. About 1784 Roggatz had a Vorwerk, three farmers, a Kossäten, a schoolmaster and a total of ten households. 1804 Wilhelm Lorenz was the owner v. Somnitz. In 1839 the estate was sold and became the property of the Holtz family.

By 1945, the country village belonged to the district of Stolp in Pomerania Region of the Prussian province of Pomerania.

After the region was occupied by the end of the Second World War on 8 March 1945 by the Red Army, it was placed under Polish administration after the war. The German population was subsequently expelled by the Poles from Roggatz.

Administrative structure

The place is a mayor's office in the Gmina Slupsk ( Stolp rural municipality ) in the powiat Słupski ( tripping circuit) of the Pomeranian Voivodeship.
