The roe (Swedish Röa, South Sami: Rovje ) is a wild river in the Swedish-Norwegian border area.
Geography
The roe drains the lying at the Swedish- Norwegian border lake of the same. The lake itself is fed by several spring-fed streams. The Roe flows in east-west direction at about 62 degrees north latitude and breaks through the Femundsmarka in the Femund by. The river flows partially rapids like lonely through the mountainous region, there is no road access. The border between the two provinces Norwegian Hedmark and Sør -Trøndelag runs along the river. The river is considered älv as the uppermost portion of the river system Roe Trysil - Klar-river - Gota.

The roe is often used for multi-day canoe expeditions.
