Roger Kjendalen

Roger Kjendalen ( born June 6, 1965 in Norway ) is a retired Norwegian handball player who has been used primarily on the position of the rear space center.

Career

The 1.92 m wide right-handed began with the Handball Game in his home at IF Urædd, with whom he was in 1986 and 1987 respectively Norwegian champion and cup winner and 1987 Player of the Year. In 1988 he moved for three years to the German club TuS Schutter forest. After he had become with Runar Sandefjord 1993 and 1994 champions as well as 1994 top scorer in the meantime returned to Norway and he signed in 1994 at second division VfL Fred Beck, with whom he once managed to climb to the top flight. 1996 obliged the SG Flensburg- Handewitt playmaker. With the SG, he won the EHF Cup in 1996/97 and the Euro -City Cup 1999. In 2000, he joined the Swiss club GC Amicitia Zurich, but left him after just one season, the direction Drammen HK. There he remained only one season, then he returned to his hometown club Sandefjord TIF, where he trailed off his career as a playing assistant coach after two championships in 2003 and 2004.

With the Norwegian national team of 242- round pick players took part in the World Cup 1993. With 930 goals scored between 1985 and 1998 he is Norway's leading scorer.

In 2011, he took over as coach in Sandefjord for a year due to illness Eivind Ellingsen.

Private

Roger Kjendalen is married to Eli, and has two sons. He works as a physical education teacher at a high school in Sandefjord.
