Rogowo

Rogowo (1939-1945: Roggenau ) is a village and seat of the rural community in Poland. The place is located in the powiat Żniński the Kujawsko - Pomerania.

History

The first mention of today's Rogowo dates from the year 1311. 1380 Rogowo was mentioned as a town when the award of the city law was not known exactly 200 years later, the city lost its city charter. During the Second Northern War, the village was destroyed by the Swedes. After the owner of Albert Węgierski had it rebuilt was Rogowo on 15 June 1672 again raised to town. In the former Prussian province of Posen, the then city Rogowo was until 1919 the administrative district of Bromberg, circle Znin. 1919, the town was part of the revived Poland. 1934 lost the place again be a town.
