Rohat Alakom

Rohat Alakom ( born May 13, 1955 at the place Kabakom / Kars ) is a Kurdish author from Turkey.

The primary and secondary school he attended in Kağızman. The high school, he took off in Kars. In 1978 he finished his studies at the Faculty of Education at the University of Ankara. For political reasons Alakom lives since 1983 in Sweden exile.

Rohat Alakoms books deal with the 200-year history of the Kurds, the Kurds in the Swedish sources, the old generation of Kurds in Istanbul, Kurds in the current literature of Turkey and other political issues concerning the Kurds. Some of his works are available in Arabic, English and French translation.
