Roland Wagner

Roland Wagner ( born December 22, 1955 in Drusenheim, Bas- Rhin ) is a French former football player. His most successful period as a footballer he had with Racing Strasbourg.

FC Drusenheim

Roland Wagner started to play football in his hometown of Alsace Druze home and was hired by the youth department of FC Druze home to.

Racing Strasbourg

In 1972 he started his professional career when he signed a professional contract with first division side Racing Strasbourg, the footballing figurehead of Alsace. However, in his first season, Wagner came only to use one. In the following season he admittedly came to twelve missions, where he scored five goals.

In the season 1974/75, Wagner could win a regular place and played in 28 league games. And even in that season he scored five goals. In the following season, Wagner came into the league just 27 appearances for which he crowned with four goals. However, the descent of the Alsace in the second division, he could hardly avoid. In the second division season Wagner was then also important and marked in 27 games equal to 17 hits. This helped Strasbourg for direct re-emergence.

The following season, Wagner was temporarily Benchwarmers and only played in fourteen games. Here he managed only one hit. In the 1978/79 season, Wagner won back his place and played an extremely strong season. Roland Wagner came in 35 games in the league and scored 14 goals for use. In the UEFA Cup before it penetrated to the third round. There you failed at the German club MSV Duisburg. Wagner played in all six games of Racing in the UEFA Cup ( a hit ). At the end of the season was even crowned by winning the league title. In the following season played by Wagner with Racing Strasbourg in the European Cup of Champions. FC Mulhouse

For the new season Wagner Strasbourg left after ten years of club membership and hired the league rivals and local rivals FC Mulhouse. However, he was able to win a regular place in Mulhouse and only came to seven operations ( a hit ). At the end of Mulhouse dismounted from the former Division 1.

Entente Montceau

After two years Vereinslosigkeit Wagner joined the Entente Montceau. In his first season, Wagner came to 22 inserts, where he managed a hit. In the following season, he also came to 22 inserts, where like him get three hits. At season's end, he finished his career.

SR Haguenau

In 1989, he revised his decision to end career and hired the SR Haguenau. There, however, it took him only one season.

SV Linx

Roland Wagner moved to season 1990/91 for the first time abroad and walked across the nearby border to Germany. He hired the then fifth-tier SV Linx from the located on the border of Alsace town of Rheinau (Baden). By 1993, he was active there.

National

On October 10, 1979 Wagner came to his debut in the Equipe Tricolore, the national team of France. In the 3-0 win against the United States, he was in the starting and was replaced at the beginning of the second half for Patrice Lecornu. It was also his only game.
