Rolf Ã…ge Berg

Rolf Åge Berg ( born April 14, 1957 in Vassbygd ) is a former Norwegian ski jumper.

Career

Berg, who jumped for the club Stjørdals IL, made ​​his debut in the ski jumping World Cup on 30 December 1983 at the Four Hills Tournament in Oberstdorf; in the overall ranking, he was eighth. In the following three years he jumped only irregularly in the World Cup, reached at his rare appearances but regularly finishes among the top ten.

1984 Mountain Norwegian champion on the large hill. At the Olympic Winter Games in Sarajevo, he achieved the same year on the normal hill in fifth place; on the large hill he came not to. His best season was his last: in winter 1985/86 he was in the overall standings of the Four Hills Tournament Fifth, and on 19 February 1986, he won in St. Moritz his only World Cup victory.

Currently Mountain coach is the team Trønderhopp in Trondheim where he supervises the elite team.
