Rolf Saxon

Rolf Saxon ( born 1955 in Alexandria, Virginia ) is an American actor.

Life

Saxon was born the son of a member of the U.S. Army at Fort Belvoir. His family later moved to California, where she settled in the San Francisco Bay Area. Saxon joined there at the American Conservatory Theater. He later moved to London, where he was accepted at the Guildhall School of Music and Drama. After his degree in drama, he joined for one year with the Royal Shakespeare Company. The German-speaking public, he is best known for his first film appearance in 1980; on the side of Ricky Schroder and Alec Guinness starred in Little Lord Fauntleroy the shoeshine boy Dick, who unmasked the legacy hunter Minna Tipton. His feature film credits include The Curse of the Pink Panther, 1984, James Bond 007 - Tomorrow Never Dies and Saving Private Ryan, although he did always played only minor supporting roles. In British television, he was seen among others in lead roles in the television series Pulaski and Capital City. He had guest roles in The Tripods, Agatha Christie's Poirot and Space Cops - Crime Scene Demeter City. In addition, he also appeared occasionally in theater roles, including 2002 with the Royal Shakespeare Company in The Winter's Tale and Pericles, Prince of Tyre. In the five-part adventure computer game series Broken Sword he said the role of the protagonist George Stobbart 1996-2013.
