Rolf Storsveen

Rolf Storsveen ( born April 22, 1959 in Elverum ) is a former Norwegian biathlete.

Rolf Storsveen belonged especially in the first half of the 1980s to the strongest Norwegian biathletes. The athlete of Sørskogbygda Idrettslag took the first time in 1982 in Minsk at the Biathlon World Championships and won there with Eirik Kvalfoss, Kjell Sobak and Odd Lirhus as cage rotor of the Norwegian season behind the representation of the GDR, the silver medal. Also quite successfully ran the Olympic Winter Games in 1984 in Sarajevo, where Storsveen was sixth and the Single Page with Lirhus, Kvalfoss and Sobak second behind the Soviet relay. In Ruhpolding the Norwegians again in 1985 took part in a World Cup, missed there in fourth place in the relay race just another medal.

National was Storsveen 1981 in Bardufoss champion in singles. In 1984, in Vossestrand again the runner-up behind Kvalfoss added. He was also behind 1981 Sigleif Johansen runner-up in the sprint race. Other successes he achieved especially with the season, for which he took in representing Østerdal region until 1984 and for Hedmark since 1985. 1980, 1981, 1983, 1984 and 1985 he was champion in 1982 and 1987 runner-up and third in 1991.
