Rolladen Schneider Flugzeugbau

The shutters Schneider Flugzeugbau GmbH was founded by a Walther Schneider and Wolf Lemke glider manufacturers. Since the bankruptcy in 2003, some models are produced by DG Flugzeugbau GmbH on.

Models

The first aircraft was 1968, the LS1, a then standard class aircraft with 15 meter span, which has been used very successfully on competitions. World Champion on the LS1 -c 1970 Helmut Reichmann. The LS2 was designed as a pure high performance sailplane. The LS9 is a self-launching glider with an auxiliary motor, which received the spacious, behind the pilot a little thickened body of the LS4 and the 18-meter wing of the LS6. From her ten pieces were built. The LS10 was the final development of roller shutter Schneider. Although LS actually stands for Lemke - Schneider, the name was retained for the LS10, probably by marketing considerations.

Roller shutter Schneider was one of the first companies to einbaute the Roeger hook so-called standard, remains one of the few companies that produced each item of its aircraft exclusively in-house.

The LS4 and LS6 are to be built at AMS Flight in Slovenia, the LS8 and LS10 will be continued by DG Flugzeugbau GmbH.
