Rolls-Royce 102EX

Presentation of the 102EX

Rolls- Royce 102EX is the manufacturer Rolls- Royce, a concept vehicle.

The vehicle was presented by Rolls- Royce at the Geneva Motor Show 2011. The 102EX is mainly based on the Rolls- Royce Phantom. However, as a crucial difference, the concept car features instead of the V12 gasoline engine and two electric motors, each with 145 kW of power. These are placed in place of the fuel tank, on the rear axle. Instead of the motor charging technology, including battery was placed on the front axle. With this breakdown, a similar driving behavior as the conventional drive is to be achieved.

Externally the 102EX, in addition to a special paint is different (there are more than twice as many layers as usual applied ), only a few details from the series model: The Spirit of Ecstasy hood ornament is made of Plexiglas and is illuminated in blue in the state. Instead of the fuel filler flap is the clear covering of the 3 -phase charging socket.
