Roman Catholic Diocese of Clifton

The Diocese of Clifton (Latin: Dioecesis Cliftoniensis ) is a location in the UK Roman Catholic diocese based in Clifton.

History

It comes from the justified on January 30, 1688 the Vicariate Apostolic of the Western District. 1840 was the Vicariate areas from establishing the Vicariate Wales District. On September 29, 1850 - restoration of the Catholic hierarchy in England - it was with the territorial separation of the Diocese of Plymouth to the diocese and has since become the Archdiocese of Birmingham assumed as suffragan.
