Roman Catholic Diocese of Coronel Oviedo

The Diocese of Coronel Oviedo (Latin: Dioecesis Oviedopolitanus, Spanish: diócesis de Coronel Oviedo ) is a located in Paraguay Roman Catholic diocese based in Coronel Oviedo.

History

The Diocese of Coronel Oviedo was born on September 10, 1961 by Pope John XXIII. out of territory of the Diocese of Concepción (Paraguay ) built as Territorialprälatur Coronel Oviedo. The Territorialprälatur was the Archdiocese of Asunción is a suffragan. On March 6, 1976, the Coronel Oviedo Territorialprälatur was raised to the bishopric.
