Roman Catholic Diocese of Fort Portal

The Catholic Diocese of Fort Portal based in Fort Portal in Uganda was formed on 21 February 1961. His bishop is Robert Muhiirwa. It is subordinate to the Archdiocese of Mbarara.

On August 9, 1965, on 6 March 1989, the territory of the diocese was changed and parts of the area with Hoima and Kasese were redistributed.
