The Diocese of Governador Valadares (Latin: Dioecesis Valadarensis ) is a located in Brazil Roman Catholic diocese based in Governador Valadares, Minas Gerais.

History

The Diocese of Governador Valadares was born on February 1, 1956 by Pope Pius XII. built with the Apostolic Constitution Ecclesiae Universae of cessions of territory of the Archdiocese of Diamantina and the bishoprics Araçuaí and Caratinga. It was the Archdiocese of Mariana is a suffragan.
