Roman Catholic Diocese of Jaboticabal

The diocese Jaboticabal (Latin: Dioecesis Iaboticaballensis ) is a location in Brazil Roman Catholic diocese based in Jaboticabal in the state of São Paulo.

History

The diocese Jaboticabal was on January 15, 1929 by Pope Pius XI. built with the Apostolic Constitution Sollicitudo omnium out of territory of the Diocese of São Carlos do Pinhal and the Archdiocese of São Paulo is a suffragan. On April 19, 1958, the diocese Jaboticabal was placed under the Archbishopric of Ribeirão Preto, suffragan. The diocese Jaboticabal announced on April 14, 1973 from parts of its territory to the foundation of the diocese Barretos. A further transfer of territory took place on 9 February 2000 on the foundation of the diocese Catanduva.
