Roman Catholic Diocese of Jataí

The Diocese of Jataí (Latin: Dioecesis Iataiensis ) is a located in Brazil Roman Catholic diocese based in Jataí in the state of Goiás.

History

The Diocese of Jataí was on June 21, 1929 by Pope Pius XI. built with the Apostolic Constitution Sollicitido quae omnes in from of territory of the Diocese of Goiás as Territorialprälatur Jataí. The Territorialprälatur Jataí was the archbishopric of Goiás assumed as suffragan.

On March 26, 1956, the Territorialprälatur Jataí by Pope Pius XII was. charged with the Apostolic Constitution Quo aptiori to the diocese and the Archdiocese of Goiânia is a suffragan. The Diocese of Jataí announced on November 25, 1961 from parts of its territory establishing the Territorialprälatur São Luís de Montes Belus.
