Roman Catholic Diocese of Jilin
The Diocese of Jilin (Latin: Dioecesis Chilinensis ) is a located in the People's Republic of China Roman Catholic diocese based in Jilin.
History
The Diocese of Jilin was taken on May 10, 1898 as a result of the division of the Apostolic Vicariate Apostolic Vicariate Manchuria in the North Manchuria and southern Manchuria. On 3 December 1924, the Apostolic Vicariate of Northern Manchuria was renamed Vicariate Apostolic Jilin.
The Apostolic Vicariate of Jilin was posted on April 11, 1946 by Pope Pius XII. charged with the Apostolic Constitution Quotidie Nos to the diocese and the Archdiocese of Shenyang is a suffragan.
