Roman Catholic Diocese of Joinville

The Diocese of Joinville (Latin: Dioecesis Ioinvillensis ) is a located in Brazil Roman Catholic diocese based in Joinville in the state of Santa Catarina.

History

The Diocese of Joinville was born on January 17, 1927 by Pope Pius XI. built with the Apostolic Constitution Inter praecipuas of cessions of territory of the Archdiocese of Florianópolis and this is a suffragan. On November 23, 1968, the Diocese of Joinville were parts of its territory from the foundation of the Diocese of Rio do Sul. A further transfer of territory took place on 19 April 2000 founding of the Diocese of Blumenau.
